We have just two weeks left before we break for the holidays.  We need everyone to do their part and be diligent more than ever.  All of us want to be healthy and enjoy our Christmas celebrations with family and friends!

Over the next two weeks staff and students will remind each other about social distancing, wearing your mask and sanitizing your hands.

We will be reminded to sanitize on their way in and out of every room or door.  Washing hands cleans off dirt and germs and is always an available option for students.  Masks must be on at all times (apart from eating) and are to be above the nose and cover the chin. Lastly, students will be reminded to socially distance as much as possible.  We are very good at this, but it is important to keep it the focus as we approach the Christmas Holiday!

As always, the COVID self-screener must be completed each morning for all children and can be found here: https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/

Parents:  Please listen to your child if they tell you they feel unwell in the morning and keep them home.  If the illness is unrelated to COVID, your child may return to school 24 hours after being symptom free.  If your child has any one of the following COVID symptoms talk with a doctor/health care provider to get advice or an assessment, including if your child needs a COVID-19 test:

  • fever/chills
  • cough or barking cough
  • shortness of breath
  • decrease or loss of taste or smell
  • nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

As always, please follow the direction in the self-screening.  Thank you for your continued support and cooperation in our effort to allow everyone to have a wonderful holiday and a very Merry Christmas! 💙💛
