What is the purpose of the Catholic School Advisory Council?
CATHOLIC SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL = PARENTS HELPING STUDENTS
Each one of us has a treasure chest full of knowledge, talent and experience. Becoming a member of STC’s CSAC is a wonderful way to share all of this, and make a positive contribution to our school community. By joining the CSAC we help support a flourishing school community and help our children reach their full potential.
How do you get involved?
If you would like to strengthen the bond between home and school, consider coming to CSAC meetings. It is a great way to keep up with what is happening in the school. You can also contact CSAC if you have questions about how to get involved at the school or if you are looking for information from a parent perspective.
Anyone in the school or broader community is welcome to attend and to observe our meetings. These meetings deal with many issues important to the school community, however they are not forums for the discussion of parent-teacher-student issues.
CSAC acts in an advisory capacity to the principal on matters such as school curriculum and a code of behaviour. Other issues can include the preparation of school profiles, extracurricular activities and the establishment of ad-hoc committees for fund raising.
